Nutrition
We care about nutrition, but we also care about the details. Here are a few of the ingredients we use most, and how we think about them.
Protein
Each Atlas Bar has 20g of complete protein, mostly from whey and milk. Complete proteins have all nine essential amino acids your body can’t make.
The FDA says 50g of protein a day is enough to avoid deficiency. That’s the bare minimum, not what’s best. If you’re active and want to keep muscle, stay sharp, and support metabolic health, aim for 0.8 to 1g per pound of body weight. For a 150 pound person, that’s 120 to 150g a day.
More information on this can be found here.
Sugar
Each bar contains 1g of naturally occurring sugar from dairy proteins and nut butters. None added.
We don’t add sugar because your body doesn’t need it. Too much sugar leads to energy crashes, inflammation, and metabolic problems. Less is better.
That 1g comes with real ingredients and it’s low enough to avoid blood sugar spikes.
Net Carbs
All our bars are low in net carbs - total carbs minus fiber. It's low enough for most people who care about carbs, but we're not chasing zero.
The carbs you get come from real food, not fillers, so one bar won't derail your goals.
Fiber
Each bar packs the fiber of about two cups of cooked broccoli, primarily from tapioca and nuts.
Fiber slows digestion, steadies blood sugar, and helps you stay full. We use tapioca fiber because it’s easy on your gut without the discomfort common with other fibers.
Fat
Each bar contains healthy fats from peanuts, almonds, sunflower seeds, and coconuts. No inflammatory seed oils.
Fat gives you steady energy, helps you absorb vitamins, and keeps you satisfied between meals. We don’t fear fat, we just choose the right ones.
Calories
Each bar contains 200 to 230 calories. It’s substantial without being a meal replacement.
To put it in perspective, that’s similar to a large apple with almond butter, but with way more protein and much less sugar.

Ingredients
Ingredients matter. We pick each one for its quality, its nutrition, and its role in making Atlas better for you. If it’s not something you’d find in real food, it’s not in our bars.
Milk & Whey Protein
From Wisconsin dairy farms. These are complete proteins containing all nine essential amino acids your body can't produce on its own.
Whey is the fastest-absorbing protein available, while milk protein digests slowly. Together they provide both immediate and sustained amino acid delivery.
We use the highest quality isolates for maximum protein with minimal lactose, so they're easier to digest.
Nut Butter
Almonds from California or peanuts from Georgia, depending on the flavor. Ground into smooth, creamy butter with nothing added. No oils, no sugars, no stabilizers.
The natural fats in nuts provide sustained energy and help your body absorb vitamins, while the grinding process makes the nutrients more bioavailable than whole nuts.
We use single-source nut butters to keep the flavor clean and pure. Just the nut, nothing else.
Tapioca Fiber
From the cassava root, grown in tropical forests across Asia. Unlike many fiber sources that cause bloating or digestive distress, tapioca fiber is gentle on your system while still providing the benefits of dietary fiber: slows digestion, prevents blood sugar spikes, and keeps you full.
It's a resistant starch, meaning it passes through your system without being fully digested, giving you fiber's benefits without the common side effects. We chose it specifically because it works without making you uncomfortable.
Vegetable Glycerin
Our bars use glycerin, a naturally plant-based ingredient derived from vegetables, to stay soft.
While the name sounds scientific, glycerin is a simple compound found in all living things, from plants to people. It's natural and essential to life.
Dark Chocolate Chips
Cocoa from Colombian cacao beans, in dark chocolate chips made specifically for Atlas.
We have these custom made with real cocoa butter for smooth melting and authentic chocolate taste. Simple ingredients, minimal sugar, maximum chocolate flavor.
Every batch is crafted to meet our exact specifications for both nutrition and taste.
Cocoa Powder
From roasted cacao beans. Ground into a rich powder. Pure cocoa powder is one of the most antioxidant-rich foods on earth, with natural compounds that have been studied for heart and brain health benefits.
We use unsweetened cocoa powder for deep chocolate flavor. It's the same simple process that's been used for centuries: roast the beans, remove the fat, grind what's left into powder.
Coconut Oil
From coconuts harvested in tropical groves. Coconut oil provides medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) which your body processes differently than other fats.
The saturated fat from coconut has been shown to be metabolically different from animal saturated fats. We use it because it stays stable at room temperature and adds a subtle richness without any artificial stabilizers.
Sunflower Lecithin
From sunflower seeds, sourced in Europe. Helps ingredients come together. Lecithin is a natural emulsifier that keeps the oils and proteins from separating, helping to create consistent texture.
It's found naturally in egg yolks, but we use sunflower lecithin because it doesn't trigger allergies in other lecithins. Without it, your bar would separate like natural peanut butter.
Natural Flavors
Derived from plants and spices. Used in small amounts for balance where needed. Natural flavors are concentrated extracts from real sources like vanilla, cocoa, and fruits that help deliver the specific flavors you expect.
Some of our bars don't need them at all, but where we do use them, it's to ensure the flavor comes through clearly and consistently.
Himalayan Pink Salt
Ancient pink salt from Himalayan mineral deposits. Naturally rich in trace minerals. The pink color comes from iron oxide and other minerals present in these ancient salt deposits.
We use it because salt enhances flavor and helps with hydration and electrolyte balance, especially important if you're active. Plus, honestly, we think the pink color is cool. It's salt in its natural form, unprocessed and unrefined.
Monk Fruit Extract
From monk fruit grown on Asian mountainsides. Naturally sweet and rare, harvested by hand and expensive to source.
We use it because it gives the right taste without added sugar or artificial sweeteners. Sugar or synthetics would be easier and cheaper, but easier isn’t always better.
We use a tiny amount to round out the flavor and keep our bars as low in sugar as possible.

Common Questions
We get a lot of questions. Here are the ones we hear most, so you can make informed choices.
How are these different from XYZ bars?
Look at the ingredient label of other protein bars. Then look at our ingredient label. You’ll see the difference and you'll feel it.
Why is there any sugar?
The 1g or less of sugar comes from real food ingredients like dairy and nut butters. We don’t add sugar and we don’t use artificial sweeteners. If it’s in the bar, it’s naturally there.
Why coconut? Isn't saturated fat bad?
Recent studies have shown that saturated fats from foods like coconut may not be harmful to health as previously thought. Like anything, their effect depends on what else you eat.
Why not collagen protein?
Collagen isn’t a complete protein as it’s missing essential amino acids. It’s cheap, which is why some brands use it, but it’s a lesser protein.
Do you test for heavy metals?
Yes. Every batch is tested by third-party labs for heavy metals, pathogens, and contaminants.
Where are Atlas Bars made?
We bring ingredients from all over the world to the United States, where we make Atlas Bars in an FDA-certified facility.
Is this safe during pregnancy?
Yes, but If you have specific dietary needs or conditions, please check with your doctor.
Can my kids eat these?
Definitely. Many Atlas customers regularly do.
Fair warning: you may need to order more as kids have been known to love them.
Are these TSA-friendly?
Yes, Atlas Bars are solid food, so you can bring them through airport security without issue.
How long will they keep me full?
Typically 2 to 4 hours, but it depends on your metabolism and how active you are.
When’s the best time to eat them?
Depends on your appetite. For some, Atlas bars are a full meal and for others, they’re perfect between meals. Either way, you get reliable nutrition that feels good whenever you need it.
Can these replace breakfast?
Yes, many customers have them for breakfast. Each bar has as much protein as about three large eggs, plus steady energy to start your day.
How many can I eat per day?
There’s no known upper limit for any ingredient. Most people have 1 or 2 a day, but the founder once ate 20 in a day for the sake of science. That’s the record (as far as we know).
What's your return policy?
30 days. If Atlas bars don’t meet your expectations, we’ll make it right.
Do you offer subscriptions?
Yes, most customers subscribe because Atlas Bars become part of their daily routine.
